Each experience transforms a historic site into a cinematic, story-driven journey - grounded in rigorous historical research and crafted with the depth and authenticity of great historical fiction or narrative non-fiction.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER
AMANDA MERCER Founder & CEO
Amanda Mercer founded Bardeum after a series of life-changing experiences reshaped the way she thought about time, purpose, and the way we encounter history.
A practicing attorney and former assistant prosecuting attorney, Amanda was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in 2012 while training for a record-setting double crossing of the English Channel - a relay swim she completed, raising more than $120,000 for ALS research. A subsequent brain aneurysm requiring emergency surgery confirmed what she already knew: the things we long to do should not be postponed.
Bardeum was born from her conviction that history is most powerfully experienced as story - told through the voices of the people who lived it, at the places where it happened.
Amanda holds a B.A. from Michigan State University and a J.D. from Wayne State University Law School.
